The Federal Reserve System, often referred to as the Federal Reserve or simply "the Fed," is the central bank of the United States. It was created by the Congress to provide the nation with a safer, more flexible, and more stable monetary and financial system. The Federal Reserve System  is the central banking system of the United States. It was created on December 23, 1913, with the enactment of the Federal Reserve Act, largely in response to a series of financial panics. Events such as the Great Depression in the 1930's were major factors leading to changes in the system.Without the Feds our country would be in corruption.-There would be no national coordinated monetary policy. Each bank would expand or contract credit based on their immediate business needs, not the nation's requirements.  There would be no elasticity to the currency. You would see more cycles of inflation and deflation. Many people believe that the Majority of the National debt is not owed to the fed. The majority is owed to the People of the United States  through individual bondholders and institutional bondholders like the medicare and social security trust funds. The Fed does not create any debt. Congress alone does that. The fed does print money from time to time but they way that works is they loan the printed money out.It gets paid back and disappears into the same ether it was formed from. In other words the printed money is not added to the economy. The money just gets moved around to smooth out the financial system. The amount of printed money is small compared to the overall economy there is effect that it came from nothing. The fed does make a small amount of money for the treasury in the conducting of its business. But it all goes to the Treasury of the United States not in banker's pockets. I came to the conclusion that I do believe the Federal Reserve is an asset to this country.

Underground economy is a term that defines those individuals and businesses that deal with cash or use other schemes to hide their activities and their  tax liability from government licensing, regulatory, and taxing agencies. The part of a country's economic activity that is unrecorded and untaxed by the government. The underground economy can be beneficial can be characterized as "Black Market" which goods and services are bought illegally. For example, the selling of drugs on streets or buying untaxed cigarettes and alcohol. Not many people think of illegal street vendors or unlicensed businesses as a contributor to our economy. In some ways they are beneficial. Such as adding jobs, increasing sales, and improving the lives of hundreds of humans. In other ways the hidden economy can be seen as detrimental. All the economic activity basically "flies under the radar of government". Unregistered, unregulated, untaxed, but not criminal. I hate guns.

Many economists struggle to predict the business cycle each day.  Business cycles are difficult to predict, but certain measures, also known as indicators, can provide signals to corporate leaders.Such as Wall Street investors, economists and government officials about the onset or progress of business cycles. The term "bull market" is often used to refer to the stock market, but can be applied to anything that is traded, such as bonds, currencies and commodities. The term “bear market” a market that appears to be in a long-term decline. Leading to this is recession and depression. A recession is a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial activity are reduced.Mostly identified by a fall in Gross Domestic Product  in two successive quarters.“Depressions are like plagues: devastating, rare, and only dimly understood after the fact. The occur when the economy’s normal recuperative mechanism fails to engage; the bungee cord breaks.” (4,Ip) A depression is known as severe and prolonged downturn in economic activity. In economics, a depression is  defined as an extreme recession that lasts two or more years. A depression is impacted by economic factors for example substantial increases in unemployment, a drop in credit, diminishing output, bankruptcies, reduced trade and commerce, and sustained currency values.Economic growth is the increase in a country’s standard of living over time. Growth economists study how living standards differ across countries as well as across time. Many of this changed from the twentieth century to now in 2015.

Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites. In other words It preserves our right to communicate freely online.  Internet that enables and protects free speech. It means that Internet service providers should provide us with open networks. Services should not block or discriminate against any applications or content for those networks.FCC states “The Internet is too important to allow broadband providers to make the rules.” In other words, the Government will tell you what you need and how you will get it.More Government control is not a good thing no matter what the short term gain is. The consumer would lose if corporations could decide for us what we could and could not access on the internet. Net Neutrality protects the consumer. People do not need corporations deciding what I can read or hear about. They already do that with mainstream news publications and television broadcasts. The internet should remain what it was to begin with: a place for the fair exchange of ideas and information, unburdened by corporate censorship. Net Neutrality is crucial for small business owners and entrepreneurs, who rely on the open Internet to launch their businesses, create a market, advertise their products and services, and distribute products to customers. We need the Internet to discover job growth, competition and innovation.Net Neutrality lowers the barriers of for entrepreneurs, start-up and small businesses by ensuring to reach new customers and showcase their goods, applications and services.

Spoils system is when one is given a government job by the president because they are a friend/ family member or supporter, while merit system is when they are hired based on their knowledge of politics also how they could help the government. The merit system was instituted to allow the political party in power the opportunity to reward party regulars with government positions.Spoils system yes, most people would consider the spoils system to exist today.  The idea of the spoils system is that people receive government jobs as a reward for party loyalty and their work helping a candidate to get elected.
Keeps a list of all the conversations you’ve had, all of your interests, and all of the places you've been. It has pictures of your best friend’s, your prom, and your vacation to the places you've been. Does this sound familiar? If you have a cellphone, you have all these things and more with you every day, but most likely don’t want people to see them without your permission.Your information is legally protected from unwanted snooping. But what if police suspect your phone holds evidence connecting you to a crime? Should police be able search your cellphone without a warrant? Police officers can’t just come into your home and start searching through your belongings without a warrant, but that same protection does not extend to your cell phone, apparently. “Police hadn't obtained a warrant (permission granted by a judge) or Riley’s permission before searching his phone, they had violated his Fourth Amendment right to privacy.”(Patricia Smith) Police who apprehend someone for even the smallest of crimes believe they are entitled to search the phone that was in the suspects pocket.Hoping that the phone will contain information that may lead to larger charges.“-You always have the right to say no.” (Patricia Smith).America is known as the Land of the Free, if so then police shouldn't be able to search without a warrant.Even in cases where it could save lives or bring justice to criminals. “If you say yes to a search, you’re giving up your Fourth Amendment rights.”(Patricia Smith).

12 people were killed in a mass attack in Paris, France on January 7, 2015.  Speculations have been made that the two gunmen who were responsible were part of the Al Qaeda terrorist group.  I know the US Military will be all over this.  I mean, we found Osama Bin Laden in the middle of nowhere and disposed of him.  Hey France! You hear me? Thanks for the statue of Liberty.  We’ll be right over to get those guys.  Big brother’s got your back
